WE NEED £35,000

This is Zoe. Zoe is four years old and at nine months old she was diagnosed as having 'dystonic quadriplegic cerebral palsy'.   She is now confined to a wheelchair and needs 24-hour postural management and care.   Zoe can not walk or sit independently and has limited movement in her hands.

Zoe, congnitively is very intelligent.   She is a happy go lucky little girl and handles her severe physical differences very well.

One of the biggest obstacles Zoe and her family have to face is the simple task of taking a trip to the park.   It is impossible for Zoe to join in on the many types of equipment due to her condition; therefore the family do not have the option of enjoying a simple day out at the park.

So many families with children with different needs would welcome the opportunity of being able to enjoy going to the park with their siblings and friends.   More often than not children with different needs do not get the chance to experience the same things as their siblings, together.

In view of this We Play Too have decided to make this an option for Zoe and us her family, and so many other families in our position by taking steps to making this happen.   We have approached Worthing Council, who have agreed to give space within the existing park at Brooklands Park, Lancing, West Sussex.

However there is now the enormous task of raising £35,000 for the purchase and installation of the play equipment.

As you can see from the photograph Zoe had a wonderful time in this specially adapted wheelchair swing, installed in another park some distance away and it would be great for this to become a regular occurrence for her and many other children.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?

We would be grateful to hear from anyone who can donate their time, fundraising ideas, money or all three in helping enrich the life of not only Zoe but many other children and families.

If you are able to help in any way, then please do not hesitate and contact
